DA..DA, DA, DA, I've been gone too long. I thought I'd revisit, to take a look at my previous work. Sometimes I feel that back then I saw what is happening now, and looking at these pictures gives me a scary feeling.. It is not fun knowing what will happen later in our lives - I wonder how I saw it coming.. I remember many things that I just used to exclaim, telling people that they will change when they get older, that they will want to sell themselves, telling them that they will start chasing after certain things, or saying that they will see their values as limits, their safety as a prison..: even though they reassured me that it would never happen, or the promises of unconditional love and forgiveness no matter what: - Look where we are now..

It has taken a lot for me to pick myself up, I've made mistakes, I've learnt from them, Al Hamdulillah I'm doing better now, been inspired, learnt a lot about myself, taking time to work on me, to learn to forgive, to learn to make peace with the fact that we may never be able to protect people we love, because they choose their own path in the end and might not see the coming pain, cause its disguised, no matter what. It saddens me to say that, as I saw things in 2006 that made me draw these pictures, I know see more things that are forcing words out of me, and with the path I see unfolding for the ones I loved and cared about the most, I have to make a choice to turn away and not see it happen, because it will leave me in pieces, or to stand there and watch it happen helpless, because what I said never reached the ones I wish it would have..
Either way I'll always be there to pick up the pieces, with all my heart. Thats what a promise is, and promises should never be broken.

God bless the old days, and the days to come - A chapter of my life has been sealed, but I'll keep an empty page at the end of it, for if the days decide to write some more in it - all I can say is I'm always willing. Theres no such thing as too late, ever, if we have the heart that can forgive, because forgiveness is a stronger act than any other.

You can listen to a song that makes you feel like everything is breaking apart, you can listen to that same song a month later, and it can give you hope, to make you take a step that may seem too late, or too wrong, or not right. You can listen to that song and hear the words spoken to you by someone you know, then the next time you decide to bear listening to it again, you might see that you were the one speaking those words. Words, that show us someones hurting us, a month later they make us realize we are the ones that have hurt the other. It is only human to come back someday, and say sorry. A song like 'Crawl'. Let pride wash away, never turn down someone who is really sorry, and even if you do, when its time for you to say sorry, don't think that the person you turned down will do the same to you.. Love is eternal..- take the first step in faith, you don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.
